Underwater

Three quarters of our world is water; the opportunities for travel to, around, on, and in are compelling and growing. Sonne became the first woman to "fly underwater" in the historic Deep Flight Aviator, an adventure she chronicled for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC television in a piece called NAVIGATING THE UNKNOWN. For the latest in "Flying Underwater," read the article in the AVIATION HISTORY article, and check out the Underwater Flying articles in AMERICAN CHRONICLE and EXAMINER.COM (here and here).

Sonne's husband was brave enough to get “certified” in New York City and in the kelp forests off Catalina Island, California, so the couple could be dive buddies.
